Bush Approves Pre-Landfall Plan Over Dean
KINGSTON/CRAWFORD, Texas, (Reuters) - President Bush on Saturday approved a pre-landfall emergency declaration for Texas in case the state is hit by Hurricane Dean, White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said.
The emergency declaration, which was requested by the governor of Texas, will allow the federal government to move in people, equipment and supplies now in the event the state is hit by the hurricane, he said
